Handwashing is always the best, but our garments are washing machine safe. For machine washing remember these things:
The heat of the dryers can make the tulle drier and brittle, so allow the skirt to air dry by hanging it on the dryer rack or simply on a clothes hanger.
Tulle can not be ironed! Just hang the item on a hanger and it will straighten itself overnight. But if the garment has spent time in a bag and needs a quick freshen up, use steamer only.
A tulle item such as a skirt or a dress can be hung on a
hanger by the cuffs; however, be mindful of clips because they can leave marks on the
material.
If you want to take the garment with you on a trip and it has to be put in a bag, try rolling the item so that when you arrive it does not need steaming and is ready to wear.
Times are changing, the world is changing and we are changing with it!
Since the beginning, Grieta has been a sustainable brand with our clever designs and straight cuts that leaves no fabric waste, made by order policy and other small things that matter. But as time went by and our business grew, so did the waste. So we started donating fabric waste to nurseries but still, we had a lot leftover.
We did research on how to fully use our materials and design a sustainable product line. And not only did we reduce waste in our daily lives we also made it look great. The line now has Tulle shopping bags and a smaller bag set that can replace the single-use plastic bag for picking fruit and veggies at grocery shops, your local markets or zero waste shops.
But we still had some thin textile waste that can't be sewn into bags. Luckily a family member full of creativity and amazing handcraft skills started to turn our fabric waste into design objects. So now we can give you unique fabric baskets that will help you organize even the smallest things.
